This professional knowledge standard is paramount to my career as a teacher. I strive to ensure a solid knowledge base of not only curriculum but also subject matter, but most importantly the developmental needs of my students. The primary goal of this standard is to hold teachers accountable for demonstrating awareness of the content and the pedagogy required to be an effective teacher. Accountability in this area benefits the school, my classroom, and my growth as an effective and efficient educator. My dedication to professional knowledge is evidenced through my successes in my own education, which I will transfer to my own students and colleagues.
