TELL ME AND I FORGET.  TEACH ME AND I REMEMBER.  INVOLVE ME AND I LEARN.” -Benjamin Franklin

My Teaching Philosophy

As someone who has come to teaching as a second career choice, I see with such clarity that being an educator is so much more than just a career. The moment when a child understands a concept is one I live to see. All of the hard work that goes into
the moment becomes worth it.

In addition, I love the challenges that I am presented with on a daily basis; I greet each challenge with compassion and drive to find new solutions. I see the teaching dynamic as a triangle involving the student, teacher, and parents. I am eager to learn, work with the parents of my students to improve their skills, and learn the best practices for differentiating instruction. I look forward to having a positive impact on not only my students but my community as well.
